Have been using this for sveral days now on an old Athlon 1700+ XP Pro SP2 machine w/ 1.5 GB memory. The video is nothing to get excited about, a Rage 128 32 MB 90 Hz! This box is not without its problems.

However, I have found this iteration to be very stable and no noticeable slowdowns even with above video. The last version had given me some problems so I decided to uninstall it.
It may take a couple of reboots to simmer down completely.

Not for the timid, though. It has a long installation that Windows doesn't like (it "doesn't recommend" it), replacing tons of system files and windows program files and backs up the old ones (I had no issues uninstalling the prior version).

The desktop wallpapers are refreshing, and the aurora screensavers are lovely. The package has a nice clean look and doesn't seem to slow things down.

Not as customizable as the WindowBlinds version I am running on my laptop, but it's free, and doesn't seem to be a hog. Plus this one has the wallpapers and screensavers mentioned above.

The only weirdness I've come across is that the log off and shutdown buttons on the start menu don't work. I have to go into the Search textbox to the right of them, and little 1/4 size versions pop up under the cursor. These work, but the search box doesn't.

Funny thing is, the WindowBlinds one has exactly the same thing! Go figure! I don't do any skinning (if I didn't spend too d--- much time at the 'puter already, I probably would), so maybe this is some inherent problem skinning XP.
